In Nieuwkuijk, SPM Shoetrade has build its new headquarters. This building is characterized by a transparent façade on the A59 highway. Between the office and the transperant façade lies the courtyard of SPM Shoetrade.

HOUTMAN+SANDER made the design for the courtyard and planting between the facade and the public space. In the courtyard stands a seven-meter-high, multi-stemmed Catalpa tree. Between the terrace of large Schellevis concrete tiles and the apparent façade, planting strips are designed with year round bulbs, perennials and ornamental grasses to provide a pleasant living environment.
